With more than 500 PhD-hold researchers and 430 doctorate students working in 22 research centres, two Centres of Excellence (Labex) and 6 technology platforms, the University of Cergy-Pontoise is among the most active research centres in France with a high international standard.The University entered into the Shanghai Ranking in 2012 with its mathematics activities as well as into the Taiwan ranking. Other laboratories are highly evaluated by the French National Research Evaluation Agency (AERES).
