Keywords : Characterization of materials including clays
Hydrological and environmental studies
Founded in 1989 by two doctors from the University of Poitiers to promote the product of research in the field of Geosciences, ERM is at the forefront of applied research in the field of characterization and quantification of clay minerals. It is specialized in the characterization of natural or artificial materials as well as in the study of the mechanisms of their degradation and the visualization and quantification of their porosity.ERM is also a leading French laboratory in the field of cultural heritage conservation. In hydrogeology, ERM carries out the necessary studies to establish the balance of the potential resources of a sector and to determine the zones favorable to the implantation of boreholes taking into account the characteristics of the natural environment.ERM evaluates drinking water resources and characterizes groundwater and surface water, carries out impact studies and implements modeling tools.
