ISIFoR has been labelled « Carnot » since 2011 and now gathers 11 laboratories of public research, 820 FTEs (including 420 PhD students and post-doctoral researchers) and 8 parent institutions in Anglet, Bordeaux, Pau and Toulouse, with multidisciplinary skills and know-how. The Carnot finds its position to the very heart of the subsoil energy and environment issues through two main axes: the improvement of the environmental performance of the georesources exploitation on the one hand, and the energy and ecological transition (by the development of the reduction in the carbon) on the other. ISIFoR aims to support the development of French and international firms through innovation on its target markets: oil&gas, mining resources, geothermal energy, green gases, underground storage, CCUS, multi-energy networks…
