The Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (UPPA) stands out by its multidisciplinary nature and strong presence in its region.The UPPA prepares 14 000 students for nearly 100 diplomas in the fields of Sciences and Techniques, Human and Social Sciences, Economy, Law and Management. Two integrated schools prepare students for engineering diplomas in the fields of methods and construction.Its 19 units and 7 federations of research develop their activities in relation with the leading national organisations (INRAE, INRIA, CNRS) and collaborate with major international industrial groups as well as with SME / SMI at local and national scale (9 common labs with industrial partners).The priority strategic axes of the UPPA in the field of scientific research in relation with the POLE AVENIA cluster are control of environmental footprint and the energy transition. This research is based on the institut Carnot ISIFoR (Institute for the sustainable engineering of fossil resources).
